We don't publish fixed prices because a full-arch quote depends on your case: one arch or both, four or six implants, extractions or bone grafts, and whether the definitive arch is zirconia or metal-ceramic. Send a recent panoramic X-ray and photos on WhatsApp for a preliminary, itemized quote, confirmed after the 3D scan. When you compare clinics, check that the figure includes the provisional arch, the definitive arch, imaging and follow-ups — not just the implants.

How many trips to Medellín does All-on-4 take?

Accepted Answer

Two. The first visit (about 5–7 days) covers the 3D assessment, extractions, implant placement and the provisional arch when immediate loading is possible. After 3–6 months of healing at home — with remote follow-up by WhatsApp and video call — the second visit (about 3–5 days) is for the definitive arch and bite adjustments.

Will I leave with teeth the same day?

In most cases yes, but it depends on what we find during surgery. If the implants achieve enough primary stability, a fixed provisional arch is attached the same day or within 48 hours. If they don't, loading them immediately would risk the implants, so we wait — your safety comes before the schedule. Either way, the definitive arch is placed after osseointegration.

Am I a candidate for All-on-4?

All-on-4 is designed for people who have lost most or all of the teeth in one jaw, whose remaining teeth are failing, or who are tired of loose dentures. The angled back implants work with less bone than conventional implants, so many patients avoid grafting. Smoking, uncontrolled diabetes and active gum disease lower success rates and need to be addressed first. The 3D scan confirms candidacy.

What are the downsides of All-on-4?

It's irreversible — remaining teeth in that arch are removed; it's surgery, with swelling, temporary discomfort and, rarely, implant failure; some people need a few weeks to adapt their speech; hygiene under the fixed arch requires a water flosser and a technique you'll learn; and the prosthesis can chip or wear and may need repair or replacement over the years. Careful 3D planning and scheduled check-ups reduce most of these risks, and we'll tell you plainly if another treatment fits you better.

All-on-4 uses four implants per arch; All-on-6 uses six. Four implants give excellent stability for many patients. Six spread the bite force better and are often preferred in the upper jaw, where bone tends to be less dense, or for people who grind their teeth or have a strong bite. The choice is made from your 3D scan, not from a package.

It can be, if you choose carefully. The CDC advises checking the provider's qualifications, getting a written plan and arranging follow-up care before you travel. Ask any clinic for a full-arch 3D scan, an itemized written quote, the implant brand and reference, and copies of your records — and plan for a dentist at home who can see you between trips.

What can I eat after All-on-4?

For the first weeks, soft foods only — eggs, yogurt, soups, fish, mashed vegetables — because the provisional arch protects implants that are still healing. Avoid biting into hard or sticky foods with the front teeth. After the definitive arch is fitted, most patients return to a normal diet, following the specific guidance we give at each stage.

Do I take the All-on-4 arch out at night?

No. The arch is screwed to the implants and only the dentist can remove it for maintenance. You brush it like natural teeth and clean underneath with a water flosser — no adhesives, no overnight soaking.
